Stuff we like: ELIZAVETA PORODINA

The first thing that hit my mind is Elizaveta’s use of colour as if it were a painter’s pallette. Althought it would be easy to think that the colour touches are added in post-production, Elizaveta does everything in  camera. If you look at this ‘behind the scenes’ of the STILISTEN photo shoot, it is so interesting to see how she adds different layers of colour and patterns by placing in front of the lens different objects i.e. colour gels, glass, neon tubes. Her style is very strong too. Her pictures seem to be a cross-over between Twin Peaks, Blade Runner and some kind of sci-fi film mixed with a touch of surrealism. Elizaveta is 26, she is Russian, lives in Munich, and we would very much like to work with her!

Gosh – I wrote this post 2 months ago and we just finished our first editorial for Elizaveta – very exciting and beautiful – we’ll be able to share the results soon!
